Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: This site was occupied by Bergeron Marine Services Inc. (Bergeron), a ship building and barge repair company, from April 1990 through approximately July 2004. Prior to Bergeron, the facility was comprised of the Gulf Outlet Tank and Terminal (GOTT) site and the Gulf Outlet Fuel and Marine (GOFM). The earliest EDMS record is a February 1991 LDEQ Facility Inspection Form describing operations which include steelwork, sandblasting, and painting and indicated the following on the site: a 400 gallon diesel storage tank, diesel powered welding machines, two crawler cranes, portable generator, and an air compressor. In 1997, EPA issued a compliance order referencing Bergerons failure to comply with RCRA Hazardous Waste Regulations for proper storage of paint waste and used oil waste, and lack of documentation. A search of EDMA does not indicate an investigation or remediation related to that order.
