Additional Property Attributes

The property once contained a 2,944 square foot abandoned building, also known locally as the Hay Building. The City of Cannelton acquired the property from Norman Hay in September 2018. The property building was primarily used as a church and law offices historically. Non-regulated (Category I and II non-friable) asbestos containing materials (ACMs) were identified in the building. The City had the building demolished in March 2020. Redevelopment plans include transforming the vacant lot into additional parking for the adjacent City Hall.
