Additional Property Attributes

The site is owned by the Land Reutilization Authority (LRA) and is located adjacent to both rail and highway. A local business owner is interested in acquiring the site to build a facility to house his business, and Phase I ESA was conducted. The interested redeveloper has not made any additional steps forward since the assessment activity was completed.

Former Use: The approximate 0.12-acre site is a vacant lot with no current occupants or site operations The site was developed with commercial buildings as early as 1876 which appears to have been used as warehouse space associated with a canning and cold storage facility in the early 1900s. These structures were demolished and a new building was constructed on the site by 1932. This facility operated as a chemical company in the 1940s and as an auto body shop beginning in the 1960s. The building was demolished in approximately 2016. Potential impact to the site from the historical uses as a chemical company and auto body shop is considered a recognized environmental condition (REC) for the site.
