Additional Property Attributes

The subject property consists of seven parcels of land located in the City of St. Louis, MO. These sites are currently a mix of vacant residences, industrial buildings, and undeveloped lots. The subject property is bound to the north by E. Clarence Avenue, to the west by Prescott Avenue, to the south by E. Athlone Avenue, and to the east by Bulwer Avenue, excluding the parcels in the center bound to the north by E. Holly Avenue and to the south by the alley.

Former Use: The subject property was first developed on or before 1908, as numerous single-family dwellings (both the Holly Ave and Athlone Ave sites). In the 1930s, two of the former dwellings on Holly Avenue were demolished and replaced with a commercial/industrial building at 639-641 E. Holly Avenue, listed as a Lacquer and Paint Factory. Additional commercial/industrial development occurred between the mid-1950s and early 1980s along Holly Avenue, including demolition of all but two residences and construction of several large warehouses connected to the Paint and Lacquer factory. The Paint and Lacquer factory appeared to close down in the early 2000s, before the property was purchased by Web Innovation and Technology Service and repurposed as an electronics recycling facility. All the dwellings on the Athlone site were demolished between 1950 and 1980, and the site has remained vacant since that time. Currently, a vacant home is present at 623 Holly Avenue. A large vacant commercial/industrial building is present at 639-641 Holly Avenue. A vacant home occupies 643 Holly Avenue. The lots 649 Holly Avenue and 641 Athlone Avenue are vacant.
