Additional Property Attributes

This site was identified through a community process by the C.A.R.E. community association. The proposed future usage is as a community solar site. We are actively exploring the feasibility of this idea with city planners and potential project partners. The final determination has not yet been made on future usage of the site; if a building is to be constructed there instead, then the historical presence of a laundromat upgradient of the site would necessitate further testing for VOC's, otherwise this will not be needed.

Former Use: The site is an unimproved grassy vacant lot with a stone drainage ditch consisting of ten semi-adjoining parcels of land. From 1914 to 2002, it was improved with ten residential rowhomes. 503 N. Madeira, 507 N. Madeira, 509 N. Madeira, 513 N. Madeira, 519 N. Madeira, 521 N. Madeira, and 525 N. Madeira were all owned previously by private individuals and were transferred to the City of Baltimore in 2005. 505 N. Madeira Street was previously owned by HFC Properties, LLC, and was transferred to the City of Baltimore in 2005. 515 N. Madeira Street was previously owned by a private individual and was transferred to the City of Baltimore in 2000. 523 N. Madeira Street was previously owned by a private individual and was transferred to the City of Baltimore in 2015.
