Additional Property Attributes

Standard and other historical sources were able to document a residence was present in the northwestern portion of the property in at least 1906. Two additional residences were constructed by 1926. All of the residences were demolished by 1976. An outbuilding was constructed between 1973 and 1976, on the southern portion of the property and was demolished by 1981. A portion of the current school building was constructed on the northeastern portion of the property in 1925/1926 with an addition constructed on the western face of the building in 1956/1957, and an addition on the southern face of the building between 1976 and 1981. The school building operated as a school from construction until the early 1980s. In the mid-to-late 1980s and the 1990s the school was occupied by various office tenants. Again in the early-to-late 2000s the building operated as a school. The building has been vacant of operations for the past six years.

The proposed project plans for redevelopment include conversion of the property into 74 apartments (classrooms), removal of the gym addition, and reuse of the remaining gym, auditorium, and cafeteria space as community and/or commercial space.
