Additional Property Attributes

The Property is currently vacant land with a smokestack that is owned by the Town of Randolph (the "Town"), but has had a long history as a wood products manufacturing facility since at least the late 1800s. A Phase I was completed and approved in July 2020. The Phase II SSQAPP was developed and approved in February 2021, and following fieldwork, a Phase II report was completed and approved in December 2021. In conversation with DEC and EPA, it was decided that some redevelopment planning was needed before a cost-effective cleanup strategy could be developed. An area-wide planning process, which included the Branchwood site, was completed in May 2022. Using leveraged state funding, a supplemental site investigation is underway to delineate the depth of dioxin/furan and PAH contamination.
