Additional Property Attributes

According to historical sources, the Property appears to have existed as vacant, undeveloped land from 1904 to approximately 1907. From 1907 to 1914, two (2) residential structures, a portion of a corral, and several smaller structures are depicted on the Property. A restaurant structure occupied the eastern portion of the Property in 1914. By 1923, the restaurant structure had been replaced with several structures that are part of a motel on the southeastern portion of the Property. Additionally, a small portion of the northern section of the Property contained a warehouse building. A movie theater, Williams Hotel, a laundry building, a residential structure, and several smaller structures were all on the Property in 1943. By 1952, the Williams Hotel has been demolished and the Sun Cafs depicted on the southeastern corner of the Property. According to local interviews further discussed in section 6.3, the laundry building contained a laundromat before being used as a pizza restaurant in the 1960s. The movie-house building located on the northeastern portion of the Property, along with the Sun Cafwere purchased by the Snyder family in the 1970s. The Snyder family repurposed the movie-house building for the Windmill Restaurant and the Sun Cafas removed from the Property in 1981. Since 1981, two tenants were reported at the Property: 1) Tent Cot, who reportedly occupied the Property in the 1980s and 1990s and cut and assembled tents and camping gear and 2) an equipment sales tenant who purchased large equipment at auction and resold them.
