Additional Property Attributes

This location is currently or was formerly occupied by Triple Transport, Metro Materials, Triton Stone, Trucking TCI, and Triple E Transport. There are known structures present on the site that may pose environmental concerns. Previous industrial uses may have contributed to hazardous and petroleum contamination. The facility was used to wash tanker trucks in the 1990's; a leak was noted in the diesel dispenser nozzle of a 10,000 gallon storage tank; 10-20 55-gallon drums without lids were also identified which could spill to the ground during a rain event; in 1994 a spill of 200 gallons of oil lubricant spilled in the parking lot; In the period between 2010-2013, site handled Ready Mix Concrete (SIC #3273), discharge water would consist of process water and storm water from cement from concrete facilities, process unloading areas, treated sanitary wastewater less than 5000 gallons, and washrack and shopfloor wash-down water. Pollutants are the primary environmental concern but contaminants from structures onsite or mixed into soil from decay of past buildings are also a concern. This site is part of the Port's Brownfield AWP target area. The Port is currently working with various stakeholders to determine potential uses for the site that relate to the Port's mission of maritime development and that will also generate jobs and economic development in the area.
