Additional Property Attributes

The properties are currently undeveloped with no structures located on the properties. N S Kimball appears to be used for parking and storage for an adjacent concrete supply company. Historical records for the sites indicate residential use. These properties have been identified as they are integral in the City?s Ohio Creek Watershed Project through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development?s National Disaster Resilience Competition. Through this grant, the City is creating landscape options to improve flooding, public access to the waterway and connections to the rest of the city. The project consists of an innovative, holistic, regional resiliency approach that extends beyond infrastructure to encompass community and economic development. These sites are included in a land swap that is essential to moving the project forward. Through this land swap, the City will be able to successfully build a road and ensure driver safety. The new road will be elevated out of the floodplain which will give better ingress and egress during major storm events. Additional improvements in the area include the creation of green infrastructure, public safety along with driver safety, and open space on the lots that are swapped.
