Additional Property Attributes

OG&E Mixed Use Tract (Oklahoma City, OK): 420 S. Broadway Avenue in Oklahoma City is owned by the Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust (OCEDT). DEQ is waiving its oversight costs for this site, since OCEDT is an entity of the City of Oklahoma City. The property was a manufactured gas facility in the early 1900's, and a fleet fueling and maintenance facility. The property was formerly office space for the OG&E electric company. 3.984 tons of impacted soil and demolition materials have been excavated on the property and properly disposed in a landfill. However, confirmation samples show that soil contaminated with total petroleum hydrocarbons remains onsite. A Consent Order for site characterization and risk-based remediation was signed on September 11, 2019. Site characterization is underway in coordination with remedial action. The groundwater is being treated with shallow injections to treat contaminated soil and an injection well array to treat contaminated groundwater. The injection well array has been constructed and will remain in place below the development to allow for continued injections. The first round of injections has been completed and we are waiting on the next round of sampling results. The redevelopment is currently on hold due to requirements of HUD funding.
