Additional Property Attributes

The Property consists of six parcels totaling approximately 2.41 acres occupied by commercial parking lots and two garage structures. Historic documents show the Property previously consisted of numerous residential and small commercial parcels since the early 1900s, including a automotive repair shop. Two petroleum releases were previously reported on the property. Both cases were closed by WDNR in 2002 with continuing obligations. The City is has signed a development agreement with a private developer to build a 5-story mixed-use building (grocery store and office/retail spaces on the ground level with 172 apartments above) on this site. Construction is planned to start in 2023. The developer has committed to spending at least $24,000,000 in hard construction costs for site redevelopment and estimates creating approximately 250 construction jobs.
