Additional Property Attributes

The site currently consists of a former service station building. The building has been vacant since approximately 2010. From 1985 to 2010 the building was used for a variety of retail and commercial uses including a muffler repair shop. From approximately 1945 until 1985 the site was operated as a gas and service station. It is believed the site was undeveloped before that time. The structure has several garage bay doors, therefore, hydraulic lifts may have been utilized at the Site. In addition to the former Kilgore Standard Service Station building there was building located on the same parcel immediately north of the service station. This structure has been demolished the date of construction and demolition are unknown. The current owner (AJ Patrick) purchased the Site in 2017 and the Site has been vacant since. The former service station building reportedly dates to 1945 and is currently vacant. A former storage building appears to be located in the west central portion of the Site. Review of the aerial photographs of the Site depict former fuel dispenser locations and potential underground storage tanks (USTs). Review of the IDEM VFC discovered a waste tire transporter registration for the facility. Phase II site assessment activities were completed in August 2020.
