Additional Property Attributes

The Property was undeveloped land from at least 1900 to the mid-1940s, when it was developed with a school building. Between 1946 and 2018, several building additions, parking lots and athletic fields were constructed on the Property. Surrounding areas were depicted as undeveloped land until the late 1930s, when residential developments were depicted to the east. In the early 1950s, residential developments were located to the northeast and south. In 1965, a school adjoined the Property to the north and numerous additional residential developments were located to the east and south. In 1976, a church building adjoined the Property to the west across Grand Boulevard. At the time of the reconnaissance, the Property consisted of approximately 18.5 acres of land. The eastern portion of the Property was developed with a three-story school building. Paved parking lots were observed to north and west of the building. The western portion of the Property was developed with tennis courts, a paved parking lot, an athletic field, and several outbuildings associated with the athletic field. The remaining portions of the Property consisted of sidewalks, paved driveways or landscaped areas. Interior portions of the building consisted of an auditorium, a gymnasium, a pool, a boiler room and numerous classrooms, restrooms, offices, maintenance rooms and hallways. Wooded land and a parking lot adjoined the Property to the north with a school building located further north. Residential developments surrounded the Property to the east, south and west. A church was also located to the east. North Grand Boulevard bordered the Property to the east, Birch Avenue bordered to the south, and North Henry Street bordered to the west.
