The town hall was built as a memorial to those who served in World War I and dedicated on Memorial Day, 1924. The building was placed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places in 1999. The building acted as a Town administrative building (Town Hall) until 2014, at which point the building became and has remained unoccupied.
