The site building was occupied (as of the 1942 Sanborn Map) by a store and a hotel. The store was subsequently identified in a 1957 Sanborn Map as the Pahokee Flower Shop. The Pahokee Flower Shop operated from 1931 to the mid-1990s. The hotel operated from 1931 to the early 1970s. The last use of the property as a Flower Shop was the mid-1990s at the City Directory listings for the 2000s and 2010s do not list the Pahokee Flower Shop.One of the past uses of the southwest adjoining building was a paint store from at least 1954 through the early 1970s. This facility likely stored and sold paint and paint-related solvents such as mineral spirits, turpentine, lacquer thinner, and paint thinner. The former use as a paint store is considered to represent a REC in connection with the subject property.
