Additional Property Attributes

Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the subject property was developed with a commercial building from at least 1938 through approximately 2002 when the building was demolished. Historical City Directories and historical records indicate the subject property was potentially previously occupied by a grocery store and general commercial tenants from the mid-1970s through the early to mid-1980s. The property has been vacant land from approximately 2002 through the current day. No listings for the current or historical addresses of the subject property were identified prior to 1975, therefore, former tenants of the subject property prior to 1975 are unknown.One of the former buildings on the northeast portion of the property (potential historical address of 511 and 606 Belle Glade Road) was identified as a dry cleaners on the 1943 Sanborn Map. The same building was later identified as a store on the 1954 Sanborn Map. Although the duration of time the drycleaners was located on the property is unknown, the presence of the dry cleaners and dry cleaning operations commonly involve the usage of hazardous substances and/or petroleum products, which, if improperly managed and/or disposed of, can be a source of contamination. The current and historical waste management practices associated with the property are unknown and may be a source of subsurface contamination.
