Additional Property Attributes

This vacant grass lot is owned by the Green Bay Redevelopment Authority (RDA). The RDA acquired these 8 contiguous parcels to eliminate blight and facilitate redevelopment. The parcels were previously made up of single-family homes, many of which had been subdivided into multiple units during the latter part of the 20th Century and had gradually fallen into disrepair. The homes were demolished in 2007 by the RDA. A mixed-use building has been proposed on the site by a private developer. The project includes 43 affordable housing units and ground floor office space. The developer has secured affordable housing tax credits from WHEDA for the project. Redevelopment of the site is anticipated in 2023. A Phase I ESA was requested to determine if there were any RECs that would identify the need for testing. City staff was unsure if this site had been impacted by undocumented historic fill material, which is found in many areas near the downtown and is often contaminated with PAHs. The Phase I ESA did not identify any RECs and a Phase II has not been proposed.
