Additional Property Attributes

The site was used for manufacturing agricultural equipment beginning in 1899, to manufacture veterinary medicine and pesticides, chemicals, and for metal fabrication and painting. Previous site investigation work was completed in 2020 as part of another 128(a) grant administered by the IFA.

The existing main building situated on the 7.19-acre property was initially constructed in 1925 with additions in 1962 and 1972. The storage building was constructed in 1993 and is located northeast of the main building. Approximately 20 different entities have owned the property dating back to 1821. Manufacturing activities date back to at least 1899 with the construction of agricultural machines until 1924. The property was then utilized to manufacture lathes, cabinets, and caskets including an onsite lumber yard. From the 1970s through 2003, the facility was used to produce pharmaceuticals and pesticides and then for metal fabrication and painting until approximately 2015.
