Additional Property Attributes

The Sandusky City-Wide Urban Setting Designation (USD) request was approved by the Ohio EPA on December 15, 2020 in accordance with Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) Rule 3745-2300-10(C). The Sandusky City-Wide USD consists of approximately 5,367 acres of land encompassing the entire corporation limits of the City of Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio. As set forth in OAC 3745-300-10(C), a USD serves to eliminate the potable use pathway for groundwater based upon the urban nature of the area, the availability and widespread use of public supplies of potable water, and the lack of use of groundwater for potable purposes. The elimination of the potable use pathway is applicable to properties within the boundary of the USD area.
