Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) of the property located along 206 Davis Avenue, Elkins, Randolph County, West Virginia was completed in April 2021. This report is an updated Phase I ESA to the original report. The subject property consists of one parcel totaling 0.17 acres of land along the east side of Davis Avenue and identified in West Virginia tax records as parcel 42-05-000C- 0028-0000. The structure is currently vacant but was most recently used as a multi-level apartment complex. The subject property was historically known as the Tygart Hotel and served as a hotel until the 1970s. The future planned use for the subject property is to be restored as a hotel to encourage local tourism. It is bordered on the west by Davis Avenue and all adjacent properties are commercial use to the north, south, and west. The east adjacent property is a parking lot for area businesses. The subject property is located in an urban setting. Based on the scope of services, limitations, and findings of this assessment, DS did not identify any RECs, CRECs, HRECs, or VECs for the Tygart Hotel property. It is the opinion of DS that no further environmental assessment is required at the Tygart Hotel property. This report is an update to the originally issued Phase I ESA report on April 5, 2021. This updated Phase I ESA has been conducted according to ASTM standards. Non-scope items-asbestos containing building materials (ACBM) and lead-based paint were confirmed in the subject property.
