Additional Property Attributes

The property is currently undeveloped land that is comprised of two parcels/lots. The lots are relatively flat with a slight dip towards the southwest. There is a historical marker on the southwestern corner of the property. The western portion of the property fronts North Hickory Street and the southern portion fronts West Center Street.

This assessment has revealed the following RECs in connection with the property:

Historical dry cleaning operations on the property. Between 1916 and 1925, the Masonic Hall remained on the property but an eastern structure on the property was
developed with a cleaning and pressing facility (potential dry cleaning operation). The next viable historical document available was a 1950 fire insurance map, which depicts
the cleaning and pressing building as vacant. The year 1945 represents a watershed between the normal uses of petroleum-based Stoddard solvents in dry cleaning
operations before the end of World War II and the increasingly popular tetrachloroethene or PERC afterward. A release of Stoddard solvents in the 1940s is
not expected to persist 70-plus years, but a release of PERC is much more persistent in the environment. Therefore, the potentially 30+-year operation of a dry cleaning
facility on the property (potentially from 1917 to 1949 - between historical use documents), represents a REC.
