Additional Property Attributes

Metro is considering purchasing this site for use as a waste transfer station. The Property is owned by Northwest Sand & Gravel, Inc. and is currently an active aggregate mining operation. Historical records indicate that the Property was developed for residential and agricultural use by 1936, and that aggregate mining operations began on the Property and in the vicinity around 1956. By 1970, aggregate mining operations encompassed approximately 50% of the Property and aggregate processing equipment is present.
RECS at the site were identified based on the history of importing undocumented fill to the site and due to the proximity of a hexavalent chromium release at a nearby offsite property.
