Additional Property Attributes

Northwestern Portion
Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the northwestern and eastern
portions were developed prior to 1908 with a lumber yard. In at least 1908 an office, carpentry
building, lumber shed, and an outbuilding were present on the northwestern portion. Between
1908 and 1921, all the buildings were demolished, and a residential dwelling was constructed on
the northwestern potion. A garage associated with the dwelling was constructed between 1921
and 1928 with an additional garage constructed between 1953 and 1962. In at least 1964, the
property was utilized by the Jarrett Trucking Company. However, based the limited size of the
dwelling and garages it is likely that trucking and/or maintenance operations were limited.
Between 1981 and 1987, one of the garages was demolished. The dwelling and remaining garage
were demolished between 1987 and 1999. The property has consisted of vacant land since at
least 1999.
Southwest and Eastern Portions
Standard and other historical sources were able to document that in at least 1908 the
southwestern portion consisted of vacant land, and the eastern portion was developed prior to
1908 as a portion of a lumber yard. In at least 1908 an outbuilding, a lumber shed, a portion of a
lumber shed, and a portion of a shed were present on the eastern portion. Between 1908 and
1921, all the buildings were demolished, and the property was redeveloped with new structures
associated with the same lumber yard. During this time period a commercial building with office
and lumber storage operations was constructed on the southwestern portion, and a lumber shed,
shed, a portion of a lathe building, and a portion of a shed were constructed on the eastern portion.
Between 1921 and 1928, the lathe building and a shed were demolished, and an addition was
constructed to the eastern face of the eastern lumber storage building. Based on the limited time
the lathe building was present (possibly from 1909 and 1927), the time that has passed since
lathe operations were conducted (over 90 years), and the likely limited nature of the operations,
PM has not identified the former lathe activities as a recognized environmental condition (REC).
Between 1928 and 1949, the eastern lumber storage building and the lumber shed were
demolished. The commercial building was demolished between 1964 and 1981. The property has
consisted of vacant land since at least 1999.
