Additional Property Attributes

The Site operated historically as Edgcomb Metals, a metal fabrication company engaging in processing carbon steel flat rolled products, hot rolled steel products, aluminum products, and stainless-steel products from 1979 until at least 2002. The Site was utilized most recently as Incrediplex, an indoor sports, entertainment, and event center, that is now mostly permanently closed. NueroHope, a rehabilitation center for people with brain trauma, is currently leasing the easternmost building on the Site. NOTE: The property owner backed out from allowing the Phase II investigation to be completed less than two days before field work was to commence. On behalf of the City, BCA made attempts to convince the owner to allow the project to move forward, but these attempts failed. BCA informed the City of Lawrence of the situation, and the decision was to cancel the project, closing it out with costs incurred to date.
