Additional Property Attributes

14800 West Grand River Avenue was developed prior to 1925 with a small real estate office in the southeastern portion. The building was demolished and a commercial building was constructed between 1926 and 1930. The building contained four stories (historically identified as 14800 West Grand River Avenue and 14129-14137 Lauder Avenue) and was occupied by dental offices, a confectionary, a shoe store, and a beauty shop, as well as a dry cleaner from at least 1931 to 1936 and potentially from1927 to 1940.This building was demolished between 2013 and 2016 and this parcel has consisted of vacant land since that time.

14804 West Grand River Avenue was developed in 1930 with the current building on previously vacant land. The current building (historically identified as 14804-14812 West Grand River Avenue) was occupied by an automotive painting and service company from at least 1930 to 1953, a factory/machine shop from at least 1953 until the 1990s, a church in the early 2000s, and has been vacant for several years. The historical automotive painting and service operations appear to have occupied the entire building and the later factory/machine shop operations were limited to the second floor with offices on the first floor.

14820 West Grand River Avenue) was developed between 1926 and 1936 with a commercial building on previously vacant land. The building (historically identified as 14820-14822 West Grand River Avenue) was occupied by a grocery store, restaurants, a shoe store, a piano store, and a church. This building was demolished in approximately 2019.The western parcel (14830 West Grand River Avenue) was developed prior to 1926 with a small storefront in the southwestern portion. The storefront was demolished and a theater building with storefronts in the southern portion was constructed in approximately 1927. The majority of the building (historically identified as 14828-14850 West Grand River Avenue) was occupied by a theater from at least 1931 until 1974 and a church from at least 1976 to 1977. The storefronts were historically occupied by professional offices, medical offices, a confectionary, a beauty shop, and a watch repair shop.
