Additional Property Attributes

Standard and historical sources were able to document the subject property was developed with a bulk fuel oil storage facility in at least 1923 which included an oil warehouse in the southwestern portion, a pump house in the northern portion, a coal shed in the eastern portion, an office in the southern portion, and two railroad spurs in the eastern and western portions. Additionally, a total of eight aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) were present in the northern and central portions in at least 1923. The eastern portion of the current light industrial building was constructed in 1924. The coal shed and office were demolished in the mid-1930s, and a concrete dyke was constructed in the northern portion in 1935. By 1950, a total of 14 ASTs were present within the northern and central portions. The oil warehouse was demolished in 1955, and an addition to the northwestern portion of the current building was constructed in 1961. The concrete dyke and all ASTs were removed from the property by 1973. The property was utilized as a storage yard for various construction, wrecking, and demolition businesses from 1973 until 2009. The property has been unoccupied since that time, and the current building has been observed to be in dilapidated condition since 2012.
