The subject property is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of North Arthur Ashe Boulevard and Robin Hood Road (east of North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, south side of Robin Hood Road) at 3017 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard.

The subject property consists of one parcel: City of Richmond Parcel ID N0001510009. The parcel is 4.015 acres in area, with Property Class 452-B (Sports Complex) and zoned M-1 (light industrial).

One single-story building, having a finished area of 73,320 square feet, occupies most of the subject property.

The subject property is located in a non-residential area characterized by recreational facilities, retail/wholesale businesses, restaurants, and light industry. The Diamond (large baseball facility) is located on adjacent property to the south; a smaller baseball facility (City of Richmond) is located on adjacent property to the north (other side of Robin Hood Road).

The Arthur Ashe Jr. Athletic Center is currently located on the subject property. The Center is a 6,000-seat athletic facility containing a basketball court and indoor track. The center is also available for trade shows. The facility (as well as the street on which it is located) is named after former tennis player and Richmond native Arthur Ashe, Jr.

The subject parcel is part of the City's proposed Diamond District.
