The 92,388-square foot parcel was used for construction equipment storage and maintenance from the 1940s through the 1970s, and as an automobile salvage yard/repair facility from the 1970s through the early 2000s. The City acquired the property by tax title in June of 2010 from then-owner Roy's Towing. The site has generally remained vacant since that time. The City is in negotiations with a potential purchaser / developer for the property, and the other adjacent Bay & Tapley Street parcels.
