Additional Property Attributes

The building was acquired by the City of Winslow in 1942. The exact use of the building at that time is believed to have been a Club House for a golf course (now gone). At the time of construction of the building (pre-1942) use of asbestos and lead-based paint was standard practice in building construction. The building is currently used for a Head Start School by the Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG). No hazardous materials have been used in or placed in the building since the time it has been owned by the City of Winslow. The City wishes to use the results of an assessment (Regulated Building Material Survey) to assist it in renovation of the building during Summer 2021 including installation of new lights, paint, flooring and plumbing to improve the learning environment for the preschool children who are currently taught in the facility.
