Additional Property Attributes

The Thomas Community Center was originally constructed in 1901 at the Thomas High School and maintains a 9,000-sq. ft. footprint and three stories. This city-owned property and adjacent associated parcels are actively operated for community activities, gathering space, and for several recreational/physical activity programs. The Community Center includes numerous indoor classrooms, administrative offices, and a large gymnasium space. While the facility is well maintained, due to the high occupancy and use by the general public and youth programs, , the City utilized funding from the current U.S. EPA Assessment grant to complete a Field Sampling Plan (FSP) and perform LBP and ACM surveys in support of continued and increased use for the myriad of Community Center programs and prior to disturbing construction materials during planned renovation and maintenance activities.
