Additional Property Attributes

Starting in the 1990s, the property was operated as Jumping Salmon Lodge. The original operation consisted of a boat shop and cabin. As of 2019, the property had a boat shop, cabins, lodge, employee housing, bulk fuel storage, and floating dock. A phase one environmental site assessment (ESA) was conducted in October 2017. The ESA documented historic petroleum releases to the surface soil from bulk fuel storage and miscellaneous petroleum storage. Contamination may have migrated into the subsurface soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface waters. As of September 2019, no characterization or cleanup has occurred at the property and was not in use. The end use goal is a youth culture camp by the Chenega Native Corporation.
