Additional Property Attributes

Site contains one 14,000 square-foot single-story office/storage building used to store electrical materials for repair of electric motors.

Phase I ESA identified the following RECs: South-adjoining property, Advantage Metals Recycling, was identified for the historic use of oil and gasoline tanks and as a junk yard from 1911 to 2017, and north-adjoining property, HPI, currently operates as a hazardous waste generator with numerous violations.

A Phase II ESA is planned for the Site.

During the Phase II, lead and arsenic were detected in soil samples above the Missouri Risk-Based Corrective Action (MRBCA) Default Target Levels (DTLs) but were within background concentrations in Buchanan County. Groundwater samples results indicated Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH-Gasoline Range Organics (GRO) & Diesel Range Ogranics (DRO) were above the MRBCA DTLs but below the non-residential indoor inhalation of vapor emissions. Naphthalene was detected in the groundwater sample from B-1 above the DTLs, however this was below the MRBCA Tier 1 Residential indoor inhalation of vapor emissions.
