Additional Property Attributes

The Site, as originally developed, was built as a movie theatre in the 1950's. Additionally the theatre was utilized as a community gathering place in the center of town. The site has sat vacant for over 3 decades in a dilapidated state. Adjacent areas to the site were and have remained as mixed residential and commercial use.

The Town of Center, upon completion of the property purchase and renovation, will be partnering with a development group (on behalf of the Town of Center) to make the space available for community film screenings at a low cost or at no cost to Center residents. Additionally, the theater renovation will significantly expand offerings in Center, providing a weather-protected location for film screenings as well as three apartments that will be renovated to host Frontier staff and long-term guests like artists and filmmakers.
