Approximately 50% of the walls are covered by gypsum board panels, 50% of the walls are covered with a wallpaper or texture, and 80% are covered with cove base. Asbestos-Containing Materials It is recommended that ACMs be removed by a licensed abatement contractor prior to renovation, refurbishing, or demolition activities in accordance with USEPA NESHAP, 40 CFR Part 61. If the entire area of a particular ACM is not affected by renovation, refurbishing, or demolition activities, spot abatement of the material could be completed. This would entail only abating the affected area. Lead-Based Paint Based on the findings of this survey, none of the six paint samples contained any detectable concentrations of lead above the laboratory detection limit (<0.0080% wt).
