Additional Property Attributes

Currently a City-owned and maintained parking lot, the property at one time contained a filling station. An unresolved Leaking UST incident was connected to the property when the City performed the initial Phase I ESA in April 2014 and acquired the property shortly thereafter. A Phase II was completed to evaluate impacts related to the former filling station. Sample results showed no remaining impacts from the release. A closure report was filed with the Illinois EPA's Leaking Underground Storage Tank division and a NFR letter was issued on 4/25/2022 and recorded on the deed on 5/5/2022. The property will remain a pubilc parking lot in the interim unless future area redevelopment requires something different.
