Additional Property Attributes

The site currently consists of two parcels of land totaling 0.30 acres. The 1516 MLK parcel was a former gas station associated with car washing/degreasing station and a tire store from at least 1950 through at least 1965. Currently this parcel supports an inactive freestanding retail store. The 3007 Holmes portion of the subject property is a vacant lot zoned for commercial retail. TCEQ Brownfields program conducted a tank removal and tank abandoment in place at this property in May and June 2021. Lead was found above background in one sample location but a statistical analysis determined a more representative value for background. TCEQ will sample for lead in groundwater and hopes to close out in summer 2022.
