Additional Property Attributes

Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the property was developed with a livery and stable prior to 1917. The livery and stable were demolished between 1917 and 1927 and an automotive garage constructed in the southwest corner during that time period. The garage was demolished between 1951 and 1958 and the property redeveloped with the current commercial building between 1958 and 1961. The northern suite (111 North Market Street) has been occupied by an automotive parts retail store since construction. The southern suite (109 North Market Street) was occupied by Printing Mart (a commercial printer) from at least 1965 (possibly from construction) to between 1995 and 2000. PM was unable to determine occupancy of the suite from 1996 to 2004. The suite has been occupied by a machine shop since at least 2005.

The southern suite has been occupied by a machine shop since at least 2005. During the site reconnaissance, the concrete floors appeared to be in good condition with generally good housekeeping practices observed. Based on the length of time machining operations have been performed (16 to 21 years), the observed site conditions, and the lack of regulatory listings, PM has not identified the machine shop operations as a recognized environmental condition (REC).
