Additional Property Attributes

The Site was formerly used as a former paper mill. Site ownership has been taken by the Town of Lee due to nonpayment of taxes. The property has been abandoned for many years and parts of the structures are collapsing. The parcels are approximately 21 acres consisting of several connected and detached structures and a former dumping area.

MassDEP assigned release tracking number (RTN) 1-0000417 in 1990, for a portion of the Site that was a former landfill. Investigations conducted by Tighe & Bond in April 1996 did not identify any impacts in the former landfill area and the RTN was closed. Based on the letter issued by MassDEP dated October 7, 2020, the potential exist that petroleum impacts could exist based on Site observations of aboveground storage tanks and drums observed on Site.
