Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Unknown but most likely residential; the surrounding area was low income residential from the 40's - 90's. The structures onsite were most likely removed prior to 2010 due to substandard property standards. This property is located in Allendale near the western edge of Ledbetter Heights. Only a few houses and businesses remain in this area, which was once a multi-ethnic, multi-class neighborhood for most of its history. The area has been partially redeveloped with affordable single and multi-family homes by Fuller Center.
Planned Reuse: The site is currently owned by Shreveport Landmark, a dissolved nonprofit, which is donating the sites to Shreveport Common, a nonprofit arts- and community-based redevelopment authority, to facilitate redevelopment into affordable housing.
