Additional Property Attributes

U.S. Farathane, LLC needs to expand existing operations at the space it leases at 2100 Dove
Street, Port Huron, MI (Property Tax ID# 06-151-0095-000). U.S. Farathane, LLC currently
occupies 30,000 ft2 within the building and needs additional space to allow for increasing
plastic injection molding operations for the automotive industry. U.S. Farathane, LLC
anticipates a $12,300,000 investment and the creation of 200 full-time equivalent jobs with
this expansion effort.
A privately funded Phase I ESA resulted in the identification of one recognized environmental
condition (REC) in association with the property: the 2013 detection of arsenic in
groundwater in excess of current EGLE cleanup criteria. The previously completed
assessment demonstrates that the subject property meets the definition of a "facility" as
defined by Part 201 of NREPA.
A August 2013 Phase I identified recognized environmental conditions related to (1) suspected landfilling/filling of marshland and wetland areas formerly located at or adjacent to the site, (2) a history of manufacturing operations at the site that included the generation of hazardous wastes, (3) industrial operations related to a northern nearby property, and (4) leaking underground storage tank incidents associated with two nearby eastern properties.
