Additional Property Attributes

The St. Clair County EDA intends to acquire and redevelop the subject property. The EDASCC intends to construct an approximately 7,000-square-foot commercial building on the property.

The subject property consists of approximately 1.7 acres of the southern portion of an irregular-shaped 5.73-acre parent parcel of land with a tax identification number of 06-011-1002-101. The project site is vacant. Formerly, the subject property was owned by Canadian National, which operated several railroad tracks that were present on the property from the late 1800s to the mid-2000s. Businesses that also operated on the subject property included American Egg Case Company; Scofield, Shurmer, & Teagle Oil Dealers; Welch Sash & Door Company; and Webb Coal Company. The subject property mainly consists of an open grassy area with an earthen drive located to the east toward the St. Clair River.
