Additional Property Attributes

Based on a review of historical information, since at least 1917 the Property has been used for residential and commercial purposes. During this period, the Property historically had three addresses associated with the two buildings: 109, 111, 115 E. South Street. The building on the southern portion of the Property (109 and 111 E. South St) was used for commercial retail space on the first floor and residential apartments on the second floor. The building located on the northern portion of the Property (115 E. South St) was used for commercial purposes consisting of auto repair and a plating company. Businesses listed for the Property include Lansing Auto Repair (1933), Joseph Spagnuolo Co (1938), Bonding Roofing Co and Amalgamated Local NO 652 UAW - CIO (1946), Capital Plating Co (1951), Lee & Cady Whole Grocery (1951-1955), Leon's Used Furniture (1956-1964), Bennie's New and Used Furniture (1969-1979), Woodworks and Design Co (1995- Present). Sometime prior to 1991 the building on the norther portion of the Property was razed. The Property has been occupied by Woodworks and Design Co from approximately 1995 to present.
