Additional Property Attributes

The five parcels, 1.46-acre Site operated as an unpermitted dump from at least the 1930s to the 1940s. The Site was developed by the 1950s with commercial property. Site occupants from the 1950s to 2010s included the Minneapolis Star & Tribune Newspaper, Skobba's Garage, Superior Auto Body, Mankato Citizen's Telephone Company, Mankato Steel Buildings, Lott Catering Service, various beverage distributors and Mankato Refrigeration Services. All structures on the Site were demolished by the 2010s. Unpermitted dumps, automotive repair and body shops are often associated with heavy metals, chlorinated solvents and petroleum hydrocarbons.
