Additional Property Attributes

Standard and other historical sources were able to document that the property consisted of vacant land until construction of a building on the north parcel between 1958 and 1962. The building was occupied by Cotton Producers Association Hatchery (chicken hatchery) from 1965 until 1967 and Gold Kist Hatchery from at least 1970 until 2010. The building was demolished between 2011 and 2013 and the property has consisted of vacant land since that time. The southern parcel was historically agricultural and is currently vacant land.

This assessment has revealed no evidence of recognized environmental conditions connected with the property except the following:

* The southeast adjoining property, identified as 2210 Moody Ridge Road, has been occupied by a textile manufacturing operation since the 1960s. Current and historical interior waste streams associated with the manufacturing operations would have consisted of general hazardous substances and/or petroleum products. A portion of this time period preceded major environmental regulations and current waste management and disposal procedures. Although subsurface investigations were conducted as part of a previous fuel oil aboveground storage tank release, it does not appear that borings were placed between the subject property and the manufacturing operations and groundwater samples were not analyzed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The potential exists for a release to have occurred and migrated onto the subject property.

No on-site RECs were identified in association with the subject property.
