Additional Property Attributes

The property is operated as The Vicksburg Apartments and is used for residential and commercial space. The property is approximately 0.5 acres in size and rectangular in shape. An eleven-story building is located in the southwestern corner of the property. The portion of the property that does not contain the building is covered with asphalt and used for parking.

A transformer is located on the basement level. The transformer was installed in 1929 and is still in use. The transformer is located under the sidewalk along the street. A grate covering is present above the transformer on the sidewalk where storm water would enter. There was no staining present on the concrete foundation surrounding the transformer. It is assumed the drain is connected to the sewer system. Also, a drain is present near the transformer area. It is unknown if the transformer contains fluids with PCB, and the transformer is considered a REC.

The Vicksburg Oil & Gas Company site is located on the adjoining property to the south. The Vicksburg Oil & Gas Company site is a closed underground storage facility (UST) facility. The UST systems formerly consisted of two 6,000-gallon gasoline tanks installed on January 1, 1961, and closed on July 13, 2000. Based on its historical operation of UST prior to compliance regulations, its historical auto repair and maintenance
operations (likely involving the storage and use of petroleum products and/or hazardous substances), its proximity to the subject property, and its location upgradient of the subject property, the Vicksburg Oil & Gas Company site is considered a REC.

An Auto Sales and Repair facility is depicted on the property in the southwestern corner of the intersection of Clay Street and Monroe Street, which is about 78 feet to the southeast of the subject property. Based on its historical operation of USTs prior to compliance regulations, its historical auto repair and maintenance operations (likely involving the storage and use of petroleum products and/or hazardous substances), its proximity to the subject property, and its location upgradient of the subject property, the former auto repair facility located approximately 78 feet southeast of the subject property is considered a REC.
