Additional Property Attributes

From at least the late 1930s through the early 1950s the Property was comprised of vegetation, two-tracks, and agricultural land. In the 1960s the north portion of the Property was developed with a residential trailer park which operated into the 1990s. By 1999, the trailers were no longer present on the north portion of the Property; however, a motel that was converted into a storage/maintenance building was present near the east Property boundary. This building was reportedly associated with the east-adjoining site gasoline filling station operations. At this time, the south portion of the Property appeared vegetated with the exception of exposed soil near the southeast Property boundary that connected to the east-adjoining site. A previous environmental assessment noted the presence of oil storage and stained floor drains in the storage/maintenance building on the Property and assessed the potential for impact by collecting one soil sample. The soil sample did not contain polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) above laboratory reporting limits. In 2000, the north portion of the Property was redeveloped with two condominium buildings and a fitness building. Grass-covered land was located on the central and south portions of the Property. The Property operated as the Sand Point Condos and Sandy Shores Fitness Center from 2000 through the time of the site reconnaissance. During this time stressed vegetation was noted in connection with an elevated septic system located south of the fitness building.
