Additional Property Attributes

New Boston Coke Corporation began operations in 1917 as a coke plant for a steel mill that saw the height of its production in the 1950s. In 1980 the steel mill ceased operations. New Boston Coke continued as an independent coke merchant. However, by 2002 the coke operations ceased, and the company declared bankruptcy. The facility has remained vacant since the coke plant ceased operations in 2002. The subject Property (parcel 34.0670.002) previously included a coal tar tank farm, gas holder, a pump house, and a tar distillate building.
