Additional Property Attributes

The Buster Bi-Lo (Property), located at 2889 State Route 139, Twin Valley, Ohio 45662, was previously utilized as a gasoline service station and bulk fueling facility under various names. Aerial photographs and topographic maps indicate the Property was undeveloped through approximately 1960 when a building was constructed along the southern boundary. A gasoline service station operated for an unknown period of time. BUSTR documents indicate that Chabot's Petroleum operated a bulk facility on the Property from at least 1997 through approximately 2004. The deed indicates that Delmer and Agnes Hicks purchased the Property in 2001. The bulk fueling dispensers and four USTs are still intact. The Property is currently vacant.
According to BUSTR records, the Property has been under investigation since 1997 when a suspected release was identified based on free product observed in a trench excavated between the Property and adjoining property to the south. Source area and Tier 1 Investigations performed in 2004-2006 revealed chemicals-of-concern in groundwater in excess of the groundwater ingestion action levels. The current BUSTR status is "Tier 1 Required".
