Additional Property Attributes

The original building on the Site was part of a larger mill complex dating back to 1818 and was known as the Buffam Grist Mill. It later served as a woolen mill, felt mill, and eventually a garneting mill. There was a fire at the mill site in 1991 that destroyed parts of the building. At that time, a portion of the site building was used for storage of plastics manufacturing materials. The buildings onsite were condemned in 2010. The site was most recently operated as a family towing and car parts/accessories/salvage business by the current owner of the site, Juanita Moscoffian. An undeveloped lot across the street from the main mill complex was used by previous site owners for storage. The site was abandoned several years ago and the Town of Oxford is not aware of any current business uses.
